Can the Big Band theory and the Theory of Relativity logically co-exist?
Yes. Einstein’s general theory of relativity demands an absolute beginning for time, space, and matter. It shows that time, space, and matter are co-relative and interdependent — you can’t have one without the other. Einstein called his discovery “irritating.” He wanted the universe to be self-existent, but the universe appeared to be one giant effect. In 1929, Einstein made a pilgrimage to Mt. Wilson observatory to observe the “red shift,” which demonstrated that every galaxy was moving away from us. This confirmed that the universe was expanding away from a single point in the distant past, a Big Bang that occurred about 14 billion years ago. The theory of relativity predicted the Big Bang, the convergent conclusion that the universe had a beginning. This, of course, is consistent with the Judeo-Christian claim that the universe was created by an uncaused cause, the creative God who made the universe from nothing.
