Can the battery be replaced mid trip?
Yes the battery can be replaced. Indeed this was an important design consideration. It’s generally easier to carry spare battery capacity in a pocket or tackle sack, than on your helmet, especially as for the majority of appications you are unlikely to require it. The Little Monkey aluminium pack is easily removable from the helmet. The battery pack is held on with a nylon buckle strap and an elastic shock cord (this is light weight, robust, easily replaced, secure, cheap and is unlikely to distort or crack your helmet). You may have noticed that the battery pack is notched to accommodate either or both of these fixings. You simply remove battery pack and replace with another. The battery to headset connection plug lives up inside the helmet.
