Can the air sample in the bag become contaminated from the lubricant in the Vac-U-Tube or on its plunger?
If the procedures in the Vac-U-Tube Operating Instructions are followed, the possibility of contamination from the lubricant should be remote. The sampling bag is connected to a piece of Teflon tubing, which passes through the face plate via a stainless steel compression fitting. The sample should never come into contact with anything other than inert Teflon or stainless steel.
