Yes. With a Super 16 camera like the A-Minima, even if I use a standard 16mm lens such as an ARRI T3, because the gate has been enlarged for Super 16MM, I believe I will expose the film on the area required by the optical track. It’s less expensive to get a Super16 gate (knowing the extra unused film area will not be printed, thus never seen) so we do not make a standard16 gate.
