Yes, the BC780XLT will track trunked systems with only the data channel, but only 800 and 900 MHz Motorola Type I, II, and IIi systems. Control Channel Only mode does not work with EDACS systems. On a Motorola system it displays the active voice channel in CC Only mode, so it is very useful if you don’t know all the frequencies used on your system.
