Unless you were under surveillance by the security services at the time, there’s absolutely no way the police will be able to obtain the text messages – your provider will definitely not have records that stretch back that far, and the police don’t monitor people’s text messages unless they have a specific reason. In any case, the content of the text messages is not admissible evidence in court in the UK – intercept evidence is not currently permitted.
