Can TermiNET protect me from Distributed Denial of Service attacks?

INFOTECS TermiNET can provide protection against becoming an unwitting accomplice in a DDoS attack. It can perform an inbound filter blocking traffic from unknown or disallowed sources such that a malicious agent cannot gain access to the target machine. It can also block inbound on all but specifically allowed ports. In the event that a malicious agent is already present or has been passed via an alternative route (e.g. email) TermiNET can also apply filters and restrictions to outbound communications which may be part of a DDoS attack. A notification screen and system log alerts the user that disallowed activity has been attempted, identified and blocked.
