Can teaching experience be used to reinstate a CTE Professional Authorization that has lapsed for 2 years or more?

Yes. Instructors who have been teaching for the past 7 years or more, and who have allowed their CTE authorization to lapse for more than 2 years, may substitute 3 years of fulltime instructional experience in the credentialing area for the 1,000 hours of relevant occupational experience that is required to renew a lapsed authorization.
