Can taking male testosterone change a males homosexuality?
Taking artificial testosterone (anabolic steroids) will not change your sexual orientation. In fact it can perversely have a very different effect. Taking such substances causes your body to slow down or even stop it’s own production of testosterone (restarting it ranges from difficult to impossible) which can lead to some parts of the male anatomy shrinking and results in a lower sex drive. Interestingly, the average level of natural testosterone is thought to be higher in gay and bisexual men (there are qualifications in the average though). Naturally high levels of testosterone have the opposite effect to the shrinkage caused by artificial testosterone. *As Ridiculous states in the case of a very feminine man it can make them appear more physically masculine.
