Can table salt substitute kosher salt in baking recipes?
Otherwise, it’s identical to the sea salt which can be bought in most shops and as such can safely be used in place of table salt in any recipe. However, the same is not true of using kosher salt in place of table salt – due to being comprised of larger lumps, baking recipes that involve small amounts of fluids may result in the salt not completely dissolving and remaining as lumps in the food. This will obviously not help the flavour of whatever it is you’re baking.
