Can syrian hamsters have sex?
If you put hamsters in neutral territory (a cage that is neither the male or females territory) and the female is in season, yes they will mate. But they will have to be seperated after mating so they don’t fight and after that they should bot be introduced again. Breeding isn’t easy and requires alot of thought and patience. I have bred hamsters myself, and I will admit it was interesting and good!! I loved seeing the colours develop in the babies. If you ever consider it, you will need to be 100% prepared and care for the female very well through her pregnancy.
