Can supporters in the U.S. receive a tax deduction?
Since Global Action is a not-for-profit organization registered with the State of Colorado and the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) charity, all donations to Global Action are tax-deductible. For donors to receive a tax deduction, the IRS requires that control of the funds be released to Global Action. All contributions for the trips must be made payable to Global Action in order to receive a tax deduction. No names of individuals should appear on the check, if a tax-deductible receipt is desired.
