Can supply teachers participate in the strike?
Yes, so far as local authority and governing body employed supply teachers are concerned. Members who had accepted engagements for a period including strike day will be included in the ballot, and included in the union’s strike call. However teachers who have already been engaged by an employment agency or business to do supply work on strike day must carry out their engagement.
