Yes. The installation of solar screens is most effective on a vertical plane. Solar screen material installed on the ceiling panels of your pool enclosure is not fully effective and probably will not block the full 80 or 90% of the sun’s rays as if installed on a vertical plane (side panels). Solar screens work by virtue of the profile angle of the sun and works better the higher the sun is in the sky versus vertical plane.
