Can subjection to violence in media lead to violence in the real world?
Yes, I think it can. I also think that violence in the real world lends to violence in the media. Did O.J. Simpson murder his wife? I do not know – and it matters not to me. If he did – he’ll reap what he sowed Do you believe going to war in Iraq was the right thing to do? My gut instinct says no – but I do not know the full story. I’m not there though I’d love to be. I’d love to go there and write what I see. Can we as people ever co-exist with each other peacefully? We absolutely can! However, so many choose to not. Do you believe the course of our lives are pre-determined by unseen/unknown forces? I’ve had this conversation with my dear friend Kent. He doesn’t think so but I’m strongly of the opinion that everything happens for a reason. I think we do have free will – we make our choices but I also believe in fate.
