Can students work anywhere they wish?
Yes—and no. A huge range of organizations offer internships, among them government agencies, for-profit businesses, and nonprofit groups. Students may complete an internship at any reputable organization, whether it is for-profit or nonprofit, public or private sector. Students may complete internships in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, Northern Virginia, the Maryland Technology Corridor, or Washington, D.C. With express prior approval from the minor coordinator, students may complete internships in other geographical locations or via telecommuting.
