Can students who live outside the District boundaries enroll at a PUSD school?
Yes. Through the open enrollment process, Arizona students may attend public schools outside their attendance areas or their districts. PUSD accepts open enrollment applications throughout the school year and applications are processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Transportation is the responsibility of the parent. Click here for the Open Enrollment Form. When can I register my child for kindergarten? Kindergarten registration is held between February and March at each local PUSD elementary school. The District offers a half-day program at no cost and a tuition-based full-day Kindergarten Academy. All children must be 5 years old by August 31 of the year they begin kindergarten. Contact your local elementary school for more information. Note: Elementary school offices are closed during the summer.
