Can students who fail to meet the standards on statewide assessments retake the tests?

Using the OAKS Online system students are provided three opportunities per subject each year to take the state tests. Scores on these tests are immediately available so that teachers can determine which students should be tested multiple times. There is only one opportunity per year per subject to participate in OAKS paper/pencil testing. Students who participate in OAKS paper/pencil testing, should not be given access to OAKS Online as many of the test items appear on both tests.
