Can students use the Student Health Center if they don have NYU Health Insurance?

0

All matriculated NYU students may use the Student Health Center (SHC) regardless of the source of their health insurance. Beginning the Fall 2006 term, matriculated students will have access to routine and urgent primary and women’s health care visits either at no cost or at significantly reduced cost. Short term counseling and wellness visits are also available at no cost. Even with this significant benefit, however, it is still mandatory for students to have insurance coverage that meets NYU requirements. For SHC services not covered by the above benefit, payment will be expected at the time of service or billed to the student’s own insurance plan.
