Can students smoke in the residence halls?

0

Effective July 1, 2003, Connecticut state law prohibited smoking in university-owned housing at public colleges and universities. All of the residence halls and campus-owned apartments at UConn became smoke-free living environments at that time. The Department of Residential Life is continuing to collect information on student smoking preferences in an effort to facilitate compatible roommate pairings since smoke carried on clothes can affect students with allergies.
