Can students request private rooms?
No. Students are assigned to rooms and seminar groups with students whose background may be quite different from their own. These arrangements are essential to the Congressional Academy to emphasize diversity and help students practice their citizenship skills. • May we know our roommates’ names and home addresses before the Congressional Academy begins? No, because housing assignments are being made and changed right up until the time students arrive at the Congressional Academy. • What facilities are available at the hotel? Please refer to the hotel website to determine what is available. • Where will I be living? The Academy will take place at the Sheraton Crystal City Hotel in Arlington, Virginia. • How do students travel within DC?
