Can students on Erasmus Mundus courses be returned as HEFCE-fundable?
Students on Erasmus Mundus courses should be treated in the same way as other students, in that the institution collecting the fee can report them in HESES. All the other usual criteria are applied. However, to accommodate this new scheme that encourages students to study at several different institutions within a programme of study, an institution can return students as fundable where their study at the home institution is the largest constituent part of their programme of study, and all other criteria to be HEFCE-fundable are met. Institutions might need to take into account income received from another EC public source for this scheme when calculating how many Erasmus Mundus students can be recorded as fundable.
