Can students loft their beds?

Self built Lofts are not allowed in Sewanee Residence Halls because they excessively damage the interior of the dorms. Students can buy plastic bed risers (cinder blocks are not allowed) that increase the amount of storage under a bed. Some of the rooms in St. Luke’s dorms has loftable furniture.
