Can students get credit for studying science on their own or for taking summer courses?

0

Although students may elect to take science in summer school to meet prerequisites or proficiency requirements, summer courses do not count toward the graduation requirement and do not receive Concord Academy credit. Students must take a placement test prepared by the Science Department to determine whether such experiences adequately prepared students for subsequent courses. Experience shows that summer courses are content heavy, and do not develop skills or discipline proficiency equal to that of a full year course.
