Can student’s be involved with IV infusions?
Yes, students can be involved in the set up, administration and checking procedures for IV infusions providing the mentor deems them competent. In Stage 2, students receive theory and simulated practice in the University to support this skill, this takes place in January which means that students will already have attended one Stage 2 placement.
