Can students arrange their own residencies?
Yes. In the past, some IMC students have successfully made connections with companies that ultimately sponsored their residencies. Keep in mind that the key lies in identifying a project worthy of graduate academic credit. Often traditional “internship” programs are designed to give exposure to a wide variety of functions and therefore lack the in-depth project and deliverables that make a good residency.
