Can Student Unions connect to JANET?
Providing that the Students Union will only use the connection for activities associated with the university, and the use of JANET is sanctioned by the Computer Service director, then connection is allowed without the need for a licence. However, if the Union wishes to engage in more general activities then it will require either a Sponsored or Proxy Connection licence, subject to the normal rules and costs.
