CAN STRAWBERRIES BE EATEN AT ANY TIME?
Berries are grouped with the Fruits. When you are just beginning to Somersize you should include berries with all the other fruits and follow the guidelines for when you may have them. However, berries are very high in fiber and cause less of an insulin surge that other fruits. If you are doing well on Level One and are steadily losing weight, you may loosen the reigns on berries and treat them as a free food. Enjoy them with whipped cream after a Pro/Fat meal. Or swirl them into nonfat yogurt for a Carbo breakfast or afternoon snack. (Sweeten the whipped cream or yogurt with little vanilla.
