Can SR2S funds be used for School Crossing Guards?
Crossing guardshelp children cross busy streets, they also help form good pedestrian safety awareness habits among children. SR2S funds can be used to pay for training and equipment for crossing guards, but not salaries. SR2S teams can help identify the locations where adult school crossing guards are needed, help establish crossing procedures, and secure long-term funding for the program.
