Can spray foam cause timbers to rot?

0

No. The foam allows the timber to breathe naturally. The foam is a semi permeable vapour barrier it allows the timber to breathe and let’s damp out but does not allow damp to enter and will not cause timbers to rot. If rot is found in foam sprayed roof it is not because of the foam but because the roof has allowed water ingress prior to the installation of foam insulation.
