Spouse of a foreigner registree can be given extension by FRRO/FRO/CHIO co-terminus to the foreigner registree if the spouse is in India on X-Visa. However, if the spouse has entered India on tourist visa, he has to get it converted into X-Visa from MHA in order to get extension.
