Can south korean tourist visa be extended?
I know that if you are staying in Korea for LESS than 90 days, then the visitor’s visa will suffice, however, if you are staying OVER that time limit you must go to the Korean consulate and fill out forms for a different Visa. I’m not 100% sure which one you will need, it will be according to what you plan on doing while in Korea. I assume if you are a student, you will most likely need a student visa, if it is for business, there is a business Visa. I was going to get a business visa, but after I went to the Korean consulate to find out, they told me that I would not need it seeing that I was going to only be in Korea for about a month. However, the U.S. and Korea is on the no visa program (for visitor’s visa). So you must check to see if your country is also in the no visa program. The Korean consulates are the ones you must speak with about that.
