Can someone under 21 be a Small Group Leader (SGL)?

0

Yes, but only in extraordinary circumstances. Being a SGL requires spiritual maturity and wisdom in addition to an ability to relate to, listen to, and enjoy being with young people. To help ensure that SGLs have the required spiritual maturity, YU has established a minimum age of 21. However, if someone younger than 21 wishes to be a SGL, he/she must also include a pastoral recommendation form (available on our website or from the YU office).
