You’ve posted this question in a category that can’t give you the best answer, because even though it’s a question of etiquette, you need to ask people familiar with the culture of the country to answer correctly. I hope you don’t mind but I’ve asked a question in another category to help you get the answer. As soon as I get some responses I will let you know. Edit: Well that was a waste of time and points. One said to greet them with a rude gesture and one said to say welcome. Guess it’s not my night to try to be helpful. Another Edit: It’s perfectly ok to say welcome in English! I should have thought of that in the first place! Enjoy your evening.
