Can someone tell me the difference between 10/22 and 5/22 .22 cal rifles?

I noticed there seems to be a rising popularity of .22 cal. AR style rifles but some are described as 10/22 and some 5/22. I’ve searched for a definition but I have been unable to pin-point the reason for the 10 vs 5.
