“Kemet” (keh-MET) is the term ancient Egyptians used as the official name of their country. (Sometimes they also called it Ta-mery, or “beloved land.”) Kemet translates as “Black Land”, in reference to the fertile banks and fields surrounding the Nile. Ancient Egytians were NOT slaves, in the last year of its empire they used Hebrew people for it. They were the first in use make up (women and men) to protect their eyes from the sun. Ancient Egyptians were paid with bread, beer, garlic, onions and make up! The ancient Egyptians played a game like bowling using large stones set up as pins and small stones as a ball. Some ancient Egyptians slept on pillows made out of stone. The goddess Isis (Aset) with the help of Anubis (Yinepu) made the first mummy with the dead body of her husband Osiris (Asar) god of the death killed by his own brother Set (Sutekh).
