Can someone tell me how cows are killed in beef processing facility?
I dare not watch the videos some people have posted. I can never stand to watch anything being killed. Which is why i think is best to be a vegetarian. It’s all well and fine when you dine in the restaurant and order steak or pork ribs because it’s easy not to know or imagine how terribly the animal died just so you can have some meat. I have a german friend who told me that in Germany, the cows are each given one large bolt of electricity in their heads and collapse onto the floor, dead as a doornail. In other countries like China, the pigs are hung upside down by the hind legs and the people who work in the abbatoir wear ear plugs and eye goggles and slit the stomach of the pigs and let the guts tumble out and blood to drain out. A survey done showed that one of the worst jobs around is slaughtering pigs because they scream so loudly when they are slit in the belly. Animals are slaughtered differently in different countries.
