Can someone recommend a good technology mentorship program for teens interested in pursuing a career in technology?
Highschool I’m serious. I don’t believe that most teens has the focus and follow through to really be effective with (for example) as a programmer. If they had it, they would do it or they could write novels which is a task of similar focus and mental stamina. Most teens simply have not evolved mentally and emotionally to do the work. When they intern, they often get used for dumb stuff of very low educational value. On the other hand, if they work hard in a good HS program, especially liberal arts they will be well suited later on. Much of high tech is explaining the high tech to everyone else. Can someone without good reasoning, expository, relationship skills do that? No, most obviously not because schools are obsessed with the technology and NOT WITH THE REASONING POWER that is really important to actually succeed with it. If you don’t know how to learn and study, anything you learn today will have almost no economic value in 5-10 years. If you are not a serial student, “High Tech”
