Can someone recommend a free, simple graphics editing program…?
Three suggested Gimp. Free – Yes Simple – No There is nothing wrong with the program but it is intended for far more than just basic editing. As a result it has a lot of functions you will never use unless you become more creative and may need them later. Some web based programs were suggested. I’ve only tried one of these but found the time lag between actions annoying. For example I save on a regular basis. If I’m doing an extensive repair on a photo I save after each small section is completed. There is an upload/download delay each time this action is done. If the program is on your computer the save is instant. There is a learning curve with any program, graphic or otherwise. Some programs are more intuitive than others. One might suit you more than another. They all have one thing in common – they usually contain all or most of the functions needed for basic photo editing.
