Mistakes are a part of our everyday lives whether we like it or not. Mistakes are meant to be made and this is truly the only way we can learn. If we didn’t make mistakes we wouldn’t know what is right from wrong and we wouldn’t know what decisions to make. In my life, I have made countless mistakes. But one of the mistakes that I have learned the most from was during my sophomore year in high school. This mistake that I made was lying to my parents. Lying to my parents made learn how important trust is in a relationship and how hard it is to gain this trust back. Lying to my parents was one of the worst things I have ever done. During my early high school years, I made the mistake of lying to my parents one day when I wanted to go out with my friends. My major consequence that I had for lying to my parents was that I had completely lost their trust. Losing their trust made them question everything I would say. Even when I just needed to go to the library and study they wouldn’t trust
