Im unsure of the salary difference But a Paralegal does make more money. And it depends what country you live in. In Canada there isn’t a HUGE difference. Law Clerks do a lot of secretary work that’s true, they also prepare legal documents, interview clients, research information on issues, assist lawyers with whatever they need etc. Paralegals In Ontario, Canada, are licensed and regulated the same way that lawyers are. A paralegal license allows for the paralegal to provide permitted legal services to the public and appear before certain lower level courts and administrative tribunals. BOTH need a diploma – i’ve read a lot of peoples responses to law clerk questions who say they just “happen” to get a job at a law firm. This is completely untrue. I am going through to be a law clerk. It’s a 2 yr course you receive a diploma when you’ve graduated, in my program the last 3 semesters, of a 4 semester course, are spent with Paralegal students, and if you opt for 1 additional semester you
