Sarasota county is using a Digital Motorola Trunked system and you will need a digital scanner such as BC796, 396 or Pro 96, or 2096, or GRE PSR 500 or 600 to listen to everything but tone outs and school buses. If your in the immediate Sarasota (City of) area: You need this tower: Set scanner for Motorola Type II trunked 866.6375 866.8625 867.1125 867.4125 867.6625 867.7625 868.2625 868.2875 868.5125 868.7625 If your in other areas of the county you will need different frequencies for the tower in your area, which you need to get from the site below.
