Can someone please give me an example of a topic sentence for my first body paragraph?
Hi there! – just thought id offer a quick tip: the very first paragraph should start off with a hook- not necessarily a topic sentence. A good hook would be something like “Cain and Abel, Barbie and Ken, Heidi and Spencer, Homer and Bart- for centuries, the complexities and drama of family dynamics has entertained society in art, media, and literature. However, the real feelings -and real needs- behind each story teaches reveals more than meets the eye. In “A Deafening Silence,” ….Vikki Goatham takes a raw look at two true to life characters, father and son, who….etc” The second paragraph (first body paragraph) starts off with a topic sentence.
