Can someone please explain to Celtic fans the difference between a pre-season friendly and the UCL?
I am fully aware of the difference, so I don’t need you or anybody else to give me an explanation. We were beaten by a better team, simply as that. There is no ‘disaster’ as you put it in getting beat of Arsenal, the same as there was no disgrace or disaster, when we got beat of Barcelona at home. It didn’t cost us £10m, as we never had it in the first place and I’m pretty sure, that not getting to the champions league, would have been something Celtic were fully aware could happen and as such and have a financial plan B or C etc. Lawell, could have given Mowbray £20m to spend and I doubt it would have made much difference.
