Can someone please explain Adobe Photoshop Extended CS3?

Well first- are you a professional studio photographer who needs the absolute best? If no, then just go with Photoshop CS3. The extended version really only gives you add-ons that are super-powerful (and also complicated…not for beginners). You’re paying for a bunch of stuff you don’t need. As for what comes with the packages- it depends. Adobe offers many different combinations. Typically CS3 comes with Photoshop (for image manipulation), Illustrator (for illustrations and text), InDesign (for publication creation), Bridge (to use between the programs), and Adobe Acrobat (to create PDF’s, etc.). If this all confuses you and you just want Photoshop, then by all means do it! And don’t be confused by the label, Photoshop CS3 is JUST photoshop, not the other programs mentioned above. The CS3 stands for Creative Suite version 3, which is in reference to the “suite” of programs available.
