Can someone please differentiate between Gorbachevs Perestroika and Glasnot domestic policies?
Glasnost – “Openess” – was a policy designed to make government departments more accountable in their activities by making thier operations and workings public. Perestroika – “Restructuring” – was a policy to introduce market reforms into the Soviet Union by allowing private enterprise in some businesses in certain areas of the economy.
