Can someone highlight the main differences between an HD Sportster 1200 and HD Sportster 1200 custom?
I have a 2000 XL Custom and there are several differences. The first diference is in the rake of the frame. The rake of the frame is stretched out a little which allows for a custom set of forks to be used. The handlebars on mine are a drag bar style which look great, but are a little rough on your shoulders. The rake and front end allow for a larger rim and tire to be used. Mine has a 21″ on the front. The other answerer noted the controls, they have forward controls which are great for long rides, but after a few hours I find myself switching back and forth between the front and the passenger pegs.
