hi there i know how you feel,however you shouldnt have to install drivers to run a sata drive,the only time that drivers are needed are when you are configuring a raid array also remember if you have a ide drive(pata) aswell as a sata then the pc will allways boot from the ide drive before the sata especially if theres a boot ini file on that drive check your sata settings by pressing delete to enter setup(bios) and then going to “intergrated peripherals” and then when you locate the sata settings ensure they are set to “enhanced” remember though if drivers are required for anything for your motherboard then it will be avalible from the driver/support page at your manufactuers website,or from the disk that came with your motherboard/pc like i said if you are planning on a raid config then raid drivers are needed and these are normally installed from a floppy however with more and more pc,s coming without floppy drives this can also be done from memory sticks and external hard drives an
