Can someone help me name the systems in mammals that act like roots stems, leaves flowers and fruits.?
Leaves are like the lungs, they carry out respiration, but they are also like the skin in that leaves are the site for carrying out some nutrient synthesis. Your skin can produce vitamin D in sunlight, hence the comparison. Roots and stems are like the circulatory system and digestive system. The roots absorb nutrients and water from the ground and the stem carries that to different parts of the plant. You already mentioned the flowers and fruit as being reproductive.
