Can someone give me the standard outline for an essay?
To have a great essay, it only takes a minimum of several hours. Anyone can write a great essay in any amount of time IF the person knows what they are doing. Outline: sent. 1-Thesis Statement (only used in first paragraph and last paragraph of essay) sent. 2-Concrete Detail sent. 3-Elaboration sent. 4-Elaboration sent. 5-Concrete Detail sent. 6-Elaboration sent. 7-Elaboration sent. 8-Closing Sentence Each essay should have 5-6, well-developed paragraphs. (or whatever your teacher said to do.) Each sentence should have 8-12 words. Each paragraph should have 6-7 sentences. A thesis statement basically catches the attention on the reader and really sums up the entire essay into one sentence. Good Luck!
